(KMOV) – After weeks of controversy over the possible closing of several St. Louis County parks, County Executive Charlie Dooley and the county council decided on Tuesday night that no parks will be closed.
There was also some discussion on closing the West County Satellite Operations Center. That center will remain open.
However, there will be aprroximately 40-50 layoffs of some St. Louis County employees.
Dooley says those losing their jobs won’t find out until mid-January. Their terminations will be effective in February.
