ST. CHARLES (KMOV.com) -- For the first time since the Newtown, Conn. mass shooting, a major gun show is opening in the St. Louis area.
With many gun owners saying they are worried that new gun controls could be coming soon, business is booming.
Rex Kehrli has managed gun shows for more than 20 years. He says any new decisions on background checks should not come from Washington.
"I believe that's a state's right issue," Kehrli said. "Different states have different laws regarding that, and people in each state should make that decision."
The gun show at the St. Charles Convention Center continues through Sunday.
