St. Charles County consider banning bikes on some roads

(KMOV)—St. Charles County is considering banning bikes from some roads.

County leaders have a bill that will be introduced Monday at the county council meeting. The bill will included banning bicycles from using state highways in southwest St. Charles County.

County councilman, Joe Brazil, who wrote this bill, said that millions of dollars have been spent on parks and trails in the area and bicyclists need to stay on the trails built for them. 

The bill would only apply to highways that lack shoulders or bike lanes.
