Spike in drive-by shootings plaguing St. Louis

(KMOV) -- News 4 is tracking a crime trend that shows no sign of stopping: A spike in shootings in St. Louis.

Since last Saturday, there have been nine drive-by shootings and four people have been killed in shootings.

The latest incident happened in the 600 block of Holly Hills Ave. Saturday morning when a man was shot through a window beside the front door to a house. Police identified the victim as Ibsa Alemu who was a taxi driver.

A neighbor of Alemu said “he seemed really nice, a family man. He had a little girl. He seemed really nice. When he wasn’t working driving a cab he was over here working”.
