Fire truck stuck after partial street collapse

St. Louis, Missouri (KMOV) – Crews freed a fire truck that was trapped after a partial street collapse in south St. Louis early Thursday morning.

According to the St. Louis Fire Department, the street partially collapsed at 9th and Wyoming in Soulard just before 6:00 a.m. trapping the front tire of a fire truck up to the axle. Crews were able to free the vehicle around 8:00 a.m.

Fire officials said the truck was returning from assisting EMT's when the accident occurred.

No injuries were reported in the partial street collapse.
