(KMOV) – A man faces more charges of assault after he jumped in the car of a female acquaintance and threatened to kill her in south St. Louis.

Police say William Wright, 29, assaulted the mother of his 2-year-old child after forcing his way into her vehicle on December 8.

Authorities say Wright threatened to kill the woman and began punching her repeatedly in the face as he directed her where to drive. Court documents say Wright then strangled the victim.

According to court documents, this incident took place just days after Wright was released on bond after being found guilty of domestic assault and child endangerment for a July 28 case involving the same victim.

On Monday, he was charged with felony kidnapping and second-degree domestic assault.
