BRENTWOOD, Mo. (KMOV) – Some people in the St. Louis area are not taking any chances when it comes to holiday shopping and getting Black Friday bargains.

News 4 on Tuesday found people who have already pitched tents and are camping out for Black Friday deals at Best Buy stores in Brentwood and Fairview Heights.

For Bonita Brock, camping out during Thanksgiving week is a family tradition. She showed up early in hopes of being at the front of the line.

“Sometimes there’s thousands of people out here,” said Brock. “We try to get here early so we don’t have to argue with anybody about people cutting in line. They still try to do it.”

Brock says her family still spends Thanksgiving together, as someone brings the food to their camping spot.
