GASCONADE COUNTY, Mo (KMOV) -- Slick roads were determined to be the cause of a head-on collision that killed two people Thursday night in Gasconade County.

Emergency crews were called to Highway 28 near Baker Rd when a Dodge Stratus lost control and crossed the center line shortly before 7 p.m.  The Stratus was then struck on the passenger side by an oncoming GMC truck.

The Stratus was driven by Alanna Perlman, 49 with Seth Thornton, 19, as her passenger. They were both pronounced dead at the scene by a Gasconade County Coroner.

The occupants of the truck, Raymond and Susan Bowers, both suffered moderate injuries. They were taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

Slick road conditions were determined to be a factor in the accident.

Authorities believe neither Perlman or Thornton were wearing seatbelts.
