DELLWOOD, Mo.—A St. Louis County homeowner is dead after several suspects broke into his home and shot him after a struggle.
The crime happened around 1:30 a.m. Monday in Dellwood. The victim is 38-year-old Bryant Carruth.
St. Louis County police spokesman Rick Eckhard says three or four men entered Carruth’s home and confronted him and his wife. Carruth was shot after a struggle. The suspects took items from the home and got away.
Carruth’s wife was not injured. Police say robbery was the apparent motive.
