(KMOV) -- Several people were arrested when members of the United Mine Workers and their supporters held a rally outside the Arch Coal headquarters in Creve Coeur on Tuesday.

Twenty buses loaded with protesters arrived there Tuesday morning to speak out against what they believe is Arch Coal’s attempt to avoid obligations to retired workers. They also planned to hold a rally and march.

A News 4 photographer said about 100 officers and a SWAT team were out in full force, arresting several protesters.
