(KMOV) -- It appears several St. Louis city schools could be closing within the next year.
At a school board meeting Wednesday night, St. Louis Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Kelvin Adams was expected to recommend closing three to six schools.
He would not yet say which ones, but he told News 4 they’re looking at several things, including transportation costs.
He’s also expected to update parents on the district’s financial situation.
“We make decisions around capacity, the number of programs in those buildings, academics, the condition of the facility, we look at those four key factors,” said Adams.
We’ll be sure to update this story after the school board meeting Wednesday night.
