EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. -- Family and friends of an East St. Louis woman who prosecutors allege was stabbed to death by her former boyfriend are getting their chances to say goodbye to her.
Services for 25-year-old Michelle Rowling are scheduled for Thursday morning at Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in East St. Louis.
Authorities say Rowling was killed in her apartment Nov. 30 -- five days after she posted on Facebook that her love should be conveyed to her two children and mother if anything should happen to her.
That online posting came the same day 25-year-old Montrell Cooper was released from jail after pleading guilty and getting probation in his latest battery case involving Rowling.
Prosecutors last week charged Cooper with first-degree murder.
