(KMOV.com) – Three teenagers are recovering in the hospital following an accident in north St. Louis County Friday night.

According to reports, the Hazelwood Police Department responded to a call for a single vehicle accident around 10:00 p.m near Dunn Road and Village Square. Investigators determined that multiple vehicles were speeding northbound on Dunn Road when the driver of one vehicle lost control.

Initial reports indicate that three male teenager passengers were ejected from the vehicle after it flipped, then rolled after hitting a drainage ditch. Police determined the victims were not wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

The driver and one victim were transported by ambulance to an area hospital and are listed in serious but stable condition. The third victim was airlifted by a Medivac helicopter from the scene and is currently listed in critical condition.The identities of the victims have not yet been released, as police work to notify their families.

Accident reconstruction teams were at the scene of the accident most of Friday night.
