WASHINGTON DC (KMOV.com) - Even though the stock market shot up 300 points after Congress passed the Fiscal Cliff bill, it doesn't mean everyone is satisfied.

Many are unhappy with Congress for the way the agreement was reached. Others are unhappy that the deal was crafted and agreed to at the last minute.

Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO) told KMOV why he voted for the final bill and what disappointed him.

Blunt also spoke to KMOV about low river levels.

The low water levels on local rivers continue to be a problem for the St. Louis area. The Army Corps of Engineers says the snowfall the St. Louis area received on New Year's Eve will not keep the Mississippi River open.

Blunt says pressure is still being applied to release water upstream on the Missouri River to help alleviate the problem.
