PIKE COUNTY, Il (KMOV.com) – A Barry, Il woman died after colliding with a semi truck Monday morning in Pike County.
Pike County Sheriff’s Department officers responded to a two-vehicle accident on Illinois Route 106, two miles west of the US 54 intersection.
According to police, a semi-truck traveling westbound left the roadway to the north side and as it came back into the roadway it swerved into the eastbound lane of traffic before jack-knifing.
The truck struck on SUV driven by Melissa Warning, 44. Warning was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
