BROOKLYN, Ill. (KMOV.com) – A St. Louis man has been charged in the fatal shooting of a man outside a Brooklyn, Illinois strip club on Sunday.
Maurice Shelton, 29, was charged with murder in the death of 23-year-old Walter Taylor.
According to police, Shelton was working as a security guard at the Pink Slip Gentleman’s Club on South 4th Street when he and Taylor got into an argument around 3:25 a.m.
Authorities said sometime during the altercation Shelton pulled out a gun and shot Taylor, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said Shelton is not in custody and was last seen somewhere in St. Louis.
