CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) -- More than 100 volunteers spent the weekend searching for any clues to help find a missing southeast Missouri woman.
The volunteers combed through more than 90 acres in rural Cape Girardeau County on Saturday and Sunday, with the goal of trying to bring 39-year-old Jacque Sue Waller home.
Waller was last seen near the home of her estranged husband, Clay Waller, in Jackson on June 1. Clay Waller has been called a person of interest but no charges have been filed. Waller said he had his wife argued before she disappeared. His attorney says Waller denies having anything to do with her disappearance.
The Southeast Missourian reports that several volunteers this weekend focused on an area where Waller's business cards were found last week. No new clues were found.
