(KMOV.com) -- Richmond Heights police are increasing patrols after a woman was robbed and assaulted at knifepoint in a St. Mary's Hospital parking garage on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, a 42-year-old female visitor was assaulted and robbed inside the parking garage around 12:30 p.m. The woman was treated for non life-threatening injuries in the hospital's emergency room, and later released.

No arrests have been made yet in the case.

Richmond Heights police said they are working with St. Mary’s security to increase patrols in the area.

Some hospital visitors on Sunday said they were shocked to hear about the robbery and assault.

"I wouldn't think that it would happen at a hospital anyway...I mean its a hospital, you would think it's more secure," Keiara Hammonds said.

Hospital officials and the police department have not yet released a description of the suspect.
