(KMOV) -- The Rockwood School District superintendent calls findings in an official inspection report of First Student buses unacceptable.

The results of the reports were released months after a News 4 investigation uncovered details about First Student buses in repair and endangering students in the Rockwood School District.

Superintendent Terry Adams on Monday sent out a letter to parents outlining changes that have been made since Feb. Those steps include the addition of 74 news buses and certified mechanics who run day and evening shifts to perform bus maintenance.

Adams made it clear in the letter the district will continue to hold First Student accountable.
