EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOV.com) – Police are seeking the public’s assistance and offering a reward for information regarding the whereabouts of a missing East St. Louis man.

Officers with the East St. Louis police department are searching for Dewey “Maine” Shy, 47. The department expects to launch the search at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

Mr. Shy was last seen on November 17 wearing a light blue jeans, a green vest and a grey hoody-type jacket.

Shy has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and has not had any medications since his disappearance.  A $1,000 reward has been offered for any information regarding his location.
