Are you in favor of Rev. Larry Rice's idea to move the homeless to the Galleria Mall due to extreme heat?
ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – The dangerous heat is driving St. Louis homeless advocate Reverend Larry Rice to drastic measures.
Reverend Rice plans to take the homeless off the streets of St. Louis on Thursday and transport them to the Galleria shopping mall in Richmond Heights.
How do you feel about Larry Rice's plan to move homeless into a local mall? Share your thoughts.
Earl Dorsett, General Manager of the Galleria released this statement in regard to the plan:
“Saint Louis Galleria is private property and a venue in which to shop, dine and experience what the mall has to offer. We welcome all shoppers throughout the greater St. Louis area who wish to use the mall for these purposes. We do not allow the mall’s common areas to be used as a venue to gather or espouse views of any cause, religion or charity.”
Rev. Rice appeared on News 4 at 6 on Wednesday and spoke with anchor Jasmine Huda on how he plans to move them to the mall.
