Flash flooding leads to several water rescues in St. Louis area

(KMOV.com) – Sudden flooding Tuesday evening led to multiple water rescues within just an hour in the O'Fallon, Mo. area.

At one point, crews ran five water rescues involving drivers overcome by rushing waters.

The rescues happened after cars got stuck in high water on Duxbury Lane, Carpi Drive, Turtle Creek Drive, Stone Creek Valley Circle and near the intersection of Mexico Road and Bryan Road. 

A home was also partially submerged under water near Main Street in O'Fallon.

In Warren County, firefighters also rescued three people who were trapped in car stuck in high water near the intersection of Pinckney Street and Worthington Drive around 2:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
