SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois consumers can get rebates on "Energy Star" qualified appliances purchased from participating retailers during certain days next month.

The rebates will be available for items purchased from April 16 through 25. Appliances include clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers and room air conditioners.

The program is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

A list of participating retailers is available on the state department of commerce Web site.
