Rash of car vandalism in Shrewsbury has police increasing patrols

 (KMOV) – Authorities are investigating a rash of car vandalism cases in south St. Louis County.

Police say at least four cars were damaged recently, all within a few blocks from one another in Shrewsbury,

In each case, the door handles of the vehicles were damaged but nothing was  taken from inside the cars.

Typically, there are two or three kids, sometimes they punch a window,” said Lt. Brian Catlett of the Shrewsbury Police Department.

Police tell News 4, that in light of these cases, they will step up patrols in the areas that are affected as the search for the suspects continue.
