(KMOV) -- Rallies against Arizona's new immigration law have spread to the Midwest.

A rally in downtown at Kiener Plaza drew a croud estimated at about 2,000 people of different faiths, including Muslims, Jews and Catholics.

In Los Angeles, Gloria Estefan kicked off a huge march, proclaiming America is a "nation of immigrants," and that immigrants are "good, hardworking people, not criminals."

There were also events in Collinsville, Ill., and other parts of the area.
