(KMOV) – A public meeting was held in Granite City Thursday morning to go over conceal and carry rules in the workplace.

The meeting was held at the Granite City Chamber of Commerce in the 3600 block of Nameoki Rd. from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

The meeting was an opportunity to discuss conceal and carry laws in businesses, including what business owners can and cannot do and what consumers can do with their license.

In January, News 4 reported businesses who do not want firearms on their premises must display a sign.

Illinois became the last state in the nation to allow concealed carry last July. It allows anyone with 16 hours of training to pay a $150 fee to get a license.
