Police stop teen riding Metrolink without ticket, find gun in backpack

(KMOV) -- St. Louis police officers found a gun in a teen’s backpack after they stopped him for riding Metrolink without a ticket.

It was reported authorities stopped Dewon Chrisp, 18, after he did not show proof of having a Metrolink ticket.

As Chrisp attempted to walk away, officers handcuffed him, searched is backpack, and found a gun.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Chrisp is now facing one count of unlawful use of a weapon, a class D felony.
