(KMOV.com) -- A man was arrested after police said he rammed a police cruiser with his vehicle Friday morning in north St. Louis.
 
Authorities said officers were on patrol and saw a man looking into cars on Belt Avenue.  By the time the officers turned their vehicle around, the man got into a car and drove away.  The officers followed him for a time, but lost him.  A short time later, police located the car and suspect near the intersection of Natural Bridge Avenue and Belt Avenue.
 
Police activated their lights and the suspect pulled over.   As officers were exiting their vehicle, the suspect rammed the police car.  According to reports, the suspect also showed a weapon.  One of the officers fire four shots in the suspect's direction, but did not hit him.  The suspect then took off in his car.
 
Other responding officers were able to catch up with the suspect at a gas station near the intersection of Lillian Avenue and Goodfellow Boulevard.  There, the suspect was taken into custody.
 
No injuries were reported.
