ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) – Police have begun a search for a suspect who robbed a bank in south St. Louis County.

Just before 2:30 p.m. a female suspect between the ages of 25 and 35 robbed the Neighbors Credit Union on the 6300 block of Lindbergh Boulevard.

She is described as five feet tall, medium build, wearing braces, perscription glasses and an unknown white substance on her nose. Authorities say the braces may be fake.

The suspect entered the credit union and displayed a threatening note to the teller demanding money, received an undetermined amount of currency and fled the bank on foot.

She reportedly fled into a nearby wooded area. Police began a search shortly after, and have been canvassing the nearby area.
