Belle Monte Court in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD, Mo (KMOV.com) – Police responded to a reported home invasion and robbery in Belle Monte Court in Chesterfield Monday night.
According to police, the victims came home around 6:30 p.m. and found someone burglarizing their home.
Police say the burglar threatened the victims with a sharp object, possibly a screw driver or a knife, and then tied them up. They were not hurt.
The suspect then stole the victims' grey Toyota Highlander and fled the scene. The SUV was recovered a few blocks away from the home early Tuesday morning.
Authorities describe the suspect as a black male who is between the ages of 25 and 40, five-feet 11-inches tall, and weighs between 200 and 220 pounds. They also say he was wearing a black ski mask, dark clothing, and silver or light grey tennis shoes.
