Ferguson, MO (KMOV.com) – Riot police appear to be using a new tactic to apprehend problem protesters by making fast gang arrests.
News 4’s Matt Sczesny was reporting live when a small group of police officers with weapons drawn rushed a protester. Officers armed with what appeared to be mace and others with guns formed a wall around the target, while other officers within the perimeter quickly grabbed and detained the individual.
Once the protester was controlled, the group would move back through the police lines with the suspect in custody.
The quick action by officers seemed to catch some protesters off guard. News 4 crews witnessed at least two arrests that were carried out in this fashion.
