Police issue charges in two animal cruelty cases

ST. LOUIS(KMOV.com) -- Charges have been issued in two unrelated animal cruelty cases Tuesday. Gary Miller, a 59-year-old male from the 3100 block of Fair, has been charged with two counts of animal neglect and abandonment.  

In a separate case, Mario Hambrick, a 30-year-old male from the 3800 block of St. Louis Avenue, has been charged with five counts of animal abuse and neglect. 

“This demonstrates again that we are serious about this,” said Mayor Slay.  “Our Animal Cruelty Task Force will continue to catch and arrest criminals who torture or hurt animals.” The mayor created the task force to reduce cruelty to animals.
