(KMOV) -- The Cool Valley police chief reports the department got a call around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday from a woman who found explosives in a garage in the 1300 block of Florissant Road.
Police and firefighters arrived and found materials that could be used to make fireworks in the garage. There are no evacuations at this time. County bomb and arson squad is also investigating the scene to remove and dispose the materials.
The garage is adjacent to a law office that is no longer occupied. Authorities say the building owner passed away a couple of months ago and his wife just found the items.
The building is located along a busy stretch of Florissant next to a fast food restaurant and across the street from an auto body shop.
