(KMOV) – A former St. Louis man faces charges after police say he stabbed his wife to death inside a Camdenton home near the Lake of the Ozarks on Sunday.

Calvin Kyles, 50, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of 28-year-old Danielle Bell.

Police say Kyles and Bell were arguing at a home on Lakeview Dr. around 2:40 a.m. when Bell was stabbed several times. Authorities responded to the scene and Bell was pronounced dead before making it to the hospital.

Kyles fled the scene but was arrested in Osceola, Mo. around 8:45 a.m. after authorities issued a statewide bulletin.

Police say Kyles is originally from St. Louis but had been staying in the Lake of the Ozarks area for the past year. Authorities say Bell had arrived in Camdenton on Friday.

Kyles remains in the Camden County detention facility without bond.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Camdenton Police Department at (573) – 346-3604.
