(KMOV) -- Police are investigating a string of car break-ins in Granite City.
"The Glove compartment was open,” said Tracy Moore, a victim of the break ins. "Everything was all over.” Moore lives in the 2500 block of Waterman and said her car was broken into late Wednesday night.
Moore said she left her car door unlocked and was missing $3.00.
Police say all the cars in Moore's neighborhood that were broken into had unlocked doors.
Authorities want to remind the public to keep car doors locked.
The investigation is ongoing.
