ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV) – Police were investigating after they say a man flourished a gun to break up a fight between robbery suspects and witnesses at a west St. Louis County intersection on Friday.

According to police, witnesses saw suspects commit a robbery in the 1100 block of Westleight Terrace in Manchester sometime Friday afternoon.

Police said the witnesses followed the suspects until they stopped in traffic near the intersection of Highway 141 and Big Bend Rd. around 3 p.m.

The witnesses approached the suspects and a fight broke out.

Police said during the argument, someone else with a concealed handgun permit pulled over and got out of his vehicle. He then flourished a pistol to try and break up the altercation.

Authorities said the suspects’ vehicle fled the area before police could get to the scene.

St. Louis County police were investigating the man brandishing a gun, while Manchester police were looking into the robbery.
