2 in custody after 21-year-old man killed in Cahokia

(KMOV.com) -- Two people are in custody after a 21-year-old was shot to death in a Cahokia subdivision late Monday night, police tell News 4.

St. Clair County Coroner Rick Stone says Rahmahjae Rogers was shot in the head while standing by a van in the 2000 block of Delores Dr. in the Bruce Place subdivision around 10:30 p.m. 

A family member took Rogers to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

Cahokia Police Lt. Dennis Plew confirms they have arrested two people in the case. One of them was found in a Cahokia home around 1:30 a.m. The other was apprehended at another house in the area.

Charges have not been filed against the persons of interest.

Additional information surrounding the shooting was not immediately available.
