ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com)—Police are investigating two armed robberies that happened minutes apart in southwest St. Louis early Tuesday.
According to police, a man robbed at gunpoint by two unknown male suspects at the intersection of Wydown and Skinker around 1:30 a.m. The victim told police the suspects hit him with a briefcase. He suffered minor injuries.
Police said about 10 minutes later, a man and woman in Dogtown were robbed by two men near the intersection of Kraft and Clayton. One of the suspects hit the male victim in the head with a pistol. He suffered minor injuries. The female victim was not injured.
In both cases, the victims told authorities the suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV and stole purses, debit cards and wallets.
Investigators said they believe the two cases are related.
There’s no word on any suspects at this time.
