(KMOV) – Police have identified a 17-year-old man who was shot to death outside a Cahokia mobile home Monday night.

Police say Allen Templeton was shot and killed at the Pheasant Hill Mobile Home Park, located at 86 Circle Creek Drive, shortly before 7 p.m.

Authorities say officers responded to reports of shots fired and found Templeton partially in the street suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide, but have no suspects or motives in the case.

An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday.

Officials say the death is Cahokia's first homicide in 2013. It is a village of about 15,000 residents in St. Clair County.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (866) 371-TIPS.
