CREVE COUEUR, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Police have identified a 74-year-old pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle near Mercy Hospital early last week.
Robert Eifert, of Crystal City, Mo., was reportedly walking near the hospital's surgery center when he was struck by a driver exiting a parking garage. The driver of the car was interviewed at the scene and released, according to police.
Eifert was transported to the hospital in serious condition, and died on Wednesday.
A traffic safety unit continues to investigate the incident.
