O’FALLON, Il. (KMOV) – Police want to help women fight off attackers and are offering self-defense classes at the O’Fallon, Illinois Police Department.
The classes teach women how to get away from a potential rapist.
“We do impact drills where they actually have to hit a bag. We learn various punches, kicks, ground techniques as well and at the end of the course the last day – for two hours – we do simulations,” Officer Jamie Smith said.
The training costs $25 for six weeks. Contact O’Fallon, Illinois police to sign up.
