(KMOV) – Police have arrested a man allegedly involved in a fatal shooting in Northwoods on Jan. 6.
John Trevillion, 30, was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder, first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Trevillion, who has a prior murder conviction, is being held without bond.
According to police officers responded to a shooting in the 4700 block of Fletcher and found 25-year-old Brian Jordan dead at the scene. Another victim, also 25, had been shot but left the scene before police arrived. That person was later treated at the hospital and released.
Police say Trevillion got away before officers got there.
Authorities say an investigation led them to a home in north St. Louis, where he was arrested.
Trevillion has prior drug convictions and a second-degree murder conviction on his rap sheet. He was sentenced to 13 years in prison for the 1998 murder.
St. Louis City Courts handled Trevillion’s 1998 case but News 4 was unable to confirm what kind, if any, monitoring he was under. The courts were closed Tuesday due to inclement weather.
It is unknown what sentence Trevillion was given and served for the murder conviction.
