(KMOV.com) --Police say the U.S. Secret Service has arrested two men accused of using a skimming device to steal money from about 300 Lake St. Louis residents.

Authorities say Arman Simonyan and Vahe Akopyan were arrested Nov. 15 in Omaha, Neb. They are currently being held awaiting charges.

Police say identified the suspects when a bank manager called authorities after seeing the suspects withdrawing money from an ATM.

According to police, the men were found with over $140,000 in cash, several thousand dollars worth of gift cards and other evidence in the case. Additional details surrounding their arrest were not immediately available.

Their arrest comes weeks after Lake Saint Louis police started getting reports of illegal withdrawals from the victims’ accounts through ATMs.

Police say a skimming device could have been used at more than one location to record the victims’ account information.
