FLORISSANT, Mo. (KMOV) – Police are investigating after an 18-year-old woman says she was raped on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus Wednesday night.
Police said the woman, who does not attend the university, was driving near Hanley and Natural Bridge around 9 p.m. when she picked up a man she did not know.
Authorities said the woman drove near the Research Parking Lot area on the UMSL campus, where they drank an alcoholic mixture. That’s when she said she started to lose consciousness and blacked out.
The victim said the suspect then raped her.
According to police, the woman drove home once she felt it was safe to drive. She then notified police.
Police said the suspect was described as a 35-year-old black man with a beard and mustache. He’s about 6-foot tall and weighs around 170 pounds. Authorities said he was not affiliated with the school.
