(KMOV) – A woman faces charges after she allegedly ran a prostitution ring inside a Maryland Heights hotel room earlier this year.
Kimberly McCline, 25, was charged Sept. 9 with third-degree promoting prostitution and possession of a controlled substance.
According to court documents, an employee of the La Quinta Inn in the 12330 block of Dorsett called police on Jan. 3 after he saw men repeatedly going in and out of one room for 20 to 30 minutes at a time.
Officers went to the hotel and contacted McCline. They said she had track marks indicating drug use and got permission to search her room. The officers then found heroin in her purse and she admitted to using the room for prostitution.
Authorities said officers investigated further and found an online profile of McCline promoting sexual services for money. Officers called the phone and McCline and that's when they say she admitted to prostituting herself.
She was arrested and taken into custody on a $12,500 bond.
