(KMOV) – Police are investigating after a woman was found dead inside an O’Fallon, Mo. home Tuesday evening.
Authorities said officers were called for a well-being check to a home on Downing around 5:15 p.m. Upon their arrival, police found a 55-year-old woman dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
According to police, the woman was not a residence of the home and no one else was there at the time. While authorities would not confirm it was a homicide, they said the death was suspicious.
Police said the woman’s identity would not be released until her family was notified.
