Police: Group of men try to abduct teen walking dog in Manchester

(KMOV) – Police in Manchester are looking out for a group of men accused of approaching a teenage girl out walking her dog Monday evening.

Police say the 15-year-old was walking her dog on the 500 block of Enchanted Pkwy. when she noticed a red Pontiac Grand Am pass her.

The driver of that vehicle waved at her and the girl said she waved back. A few moments later, the vehicle reportedly turned around and pulled into a nearby parking lot where the victim was walking.

According to the victim, the driver approached her saying “get in the car.” The victim said she began to walk faster and another occupant of the vehicle caught up with her and grabbed her from behind.

Police say the victim stated that a suspect spun her around “as if to force her to face the other suspects.” There were allegedly five suspects involved in the incident.

The suspects reportedly became spooked as the victim’s dog began barking and a vehicle drove past them.

The five suspects returned to their vehicle and drove north on Enchanted Parkway toward Manchester.

The victim described the driver as being an Hispanic male, approximately 17-20 years of age and standing at 5’09”. He is reportedly 150 lbs with short black hair and wearing a red t-shirt.

The vehicle used in this attempted abduction was described by the victim as a Pontiac Grand Am, red in color with faded paint and rear spoiler.

The investigation is ongoing.
