(KMOV) – A St. Peters woman faces charges after she allegedly physically abused her 9-year-old daughter on several occasions.

Gina Grzeskowiak, 38, was charged Friday with three counts of child abuse and one count of child endangerment.

According to police, the first incident happened when Grzeskowiak was drinking and looking after her 13 , 9 and 4-month old kids in the 100 block of Meadow Ridge Ct. on June 10.

Police said Grzeskowiak at one point punched her 9-year-old daughter in the face and pulled her hair, leaving her with several scratches and bruises.

Authorities said a week later, Grzeskowiak was in a car when she threw a bottle of baby formula at the same daughter, causing a gash to open up in the girl’s forehead. Police said they later found white powder on the car floor and blood on the seatbelt, passenger seat and door.

Police said another abuse incident happened between July 22 and July 25 when Grzeskowiak grabbed the 9-year-old and hit her in the left arm.

Prosecutors said Grzeskowiak later said she bruised her daughter by grabbing her too hard, but would not admit she caused the gash on her forehead.

She was arrested and taken to the St. Charles County Jail, where she remains on $20,000 bail.
