(KMOV.com) - Washington Park police said people are driving to Washington Park and dropping off dogs to roam freely.

News 4 found three stray dogs sitting by the side of the road Wednesday. Neighbors said the dogs are dangerous. Bryan Sanders said one of the dogs bit his uncle.

“His leg was damaged so much he had to go to a hospital,” Sanders said.

Police also said they are on the lookout for two women in a truck, who they believe come to Washington Park only to feed the dogs.

“They ain’t doing nothing but making them bigger to attack kids,” said a neighbor.

The city is working with the St. Clair County Animal Control Department to clean up the problem. If you see suspicious activity or have any information, please call police.
