Police are searching for a man they say inappropriately touched a woman walking on the Saint Louis University campus Tuesday morning.

University officials say the woman – who’s not affiliated with SLU – was walking on Grand Blvd. near Reinert Hall when a man approached and asked to use her cell phone.

The woman said she did not have one and the man touched her buttocks. He then made a lewd remark and ran toward the Grand MetroLink station.

The woman did not suffer any injuries and nothing was stolen.

Authorities say the suspect is a black male in his teens, between 16 and 19 years old, and has a slender build, medium complexion and short hair. He was wearing a black cloth jacket, baggy blue jeans and black shoes.

The investigation is ongoing.
